My God, I`ve Arrived Home!

Postby DUNEedain » 18 Feb 2011 18:17

Hello, everyone. I`m Randy from Dallas, TX. Not gonna do a long TL:DR here, lol. I`m glad to be here and I agree with everything that I`ve read. I guess my question is: Did anyone finish the original series and say, "Damn, I need more of this so badly that I`ll read amateurish crap by his son?" No. I finished Chapterhouse and said, "DAAAAMN, okay then!" At least Chris Tolkien is doing it right...

Achlan wasachlan! :)
I have heard of only one mistake that doesn’t have an explanation for a careful reader...with an open mind. (And, no, I’m not going to tell you what it is!) —KJA

I don't like every writer's style; for instance, I have never been able to get through Ursula LeGuin, China Mieville, or Iain Banks, all of whom are critical darlings. —KJA

I...had written a bunch of Star Wars and X-Files books...that proved not just that I'm a hack, but that I could write in somebody else's universe... —KJA

Thank Freak for the roof and the furniture around here. I just helped a little with the foundation and occasionally boot the undesirables.

You'll meet Freak as soon as he's - ahem - emptied himself in front of his new laptop.

SandRider's a guy. You don't want to mess with him. Especially when he's been drinking. :obscene-drinkingdrunk: :puke: :character-oldtimer:
