Ghost in a shell - very weak. Having Scarlett Johansson in it was for me the only reason I finished watching it.

Agreed. I just rented it a few nights ago.

Too bad to hear. I was looking forward to this.

Haven't seen it yet myself tho.

I saw the Amazing Spider Man 2 on Netflix shortly before seeing Spiderman: Homecoming a couple of weeks ago. I found them both more or less entertaining but not that memorable. I'm seeing Dunkirk tonight, and hopefully this coming weekend I might check out Valerian. I'm starved for interesting sci-fi

Agreed. There's be a long dearth of great sci-fi films in recent years.

Dunkirk was like watching the same scene four or five times from different perspectives. So much so that I wasn't sure if that's what they were trying to do. It wasn't bad though.

My friend called it a well-made flight simulator. To me it was like a 105 minute trailor for the actual film containing a story. It was a quality product, but not a product I needed.

Dunkirk was just overrated, as far as I can tell. I enjoyed it, especially from a cinematic and sound perspective, but it was not the groundbreaking event it was made out to be.

Spiderman: Homecoming was very meh for me, but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it.

Can't wait to see Atomic Blonde, looks pretty cool.

I'm afraid Valerian isn't that great, but if you do decide to see it see it in a cinema because it uses visuals really well. Have you seen Arrival? It came out last year and is pretty amazing sci-fi.

I am looking forward to Valerian too. It looks to me like they picked the wrong actors, but I am interested.

I liked the actors. I feel the script was at fault and that they did their best. Actually they seemed to be acting out a relation other than what the author intended, which I find funny, but it was a more plausible relationship than what Besson wanted. The movie is very colorful and creative, and I do recommend it even though Frank Herbert it is not.
