    Humans Need Not Apply

Not sure it's completely unrelated, but this came up in the context of my work and there's the whole Butlerian Jihad thing to contend with should this really be our future...

And what will happen when people are unemployable and there fore will not be able to purchase the products and services of the bots?

    Scary though .

You should read the Culture novels :)

Well, the Culture presumes deeply ethical, loving sapient machine minds. What we seem to be heading towards are non-conscious specialized robots that just happen to be better at our jobs than we are.

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.
